Going for a Drive

If you plan to travel via road through Canada and enter back into the US, you need the new CDC pet import form. Make sure your pet will be over 6 months at the time of travel and has their Rabies vaccine and microchip!

Check out the requirements for traveling with your pet. Remember that if you live in a community without permanent veterinary access, you can probably call your local office and get a certificate of exemption for some requirements within Alaska.

The Veterinary Council on Oral Health is a group of board certified veterinary dentists who, together, help you cut through all the misinformation and branding and decide which products and practices will actually help your pet have a healthy mouth. Look for products with the VCOH badge on them, or check out the list of approved products on their website.

Veterinary Information Network Partner is a huge library of articles written about disease processes - specifically for the humans who are caring for pets with medical issues. If you want to learn more about your pet's diagnosis, chances are there are multiple articles written by veterinarians with the most pertinent info you need.

Osteoarthritis is one of the most commonly diagnosed chronic conditions we treat in pets, which means a lot of people are managing this at home! Created by a veterinarian specializing in both surgery and rehabilitation, she has loads of different approaches to pain management.

Cremation Services

End of life processes are challenging but can be extremely worthwhile and there is actually a lot of support available. Alaska Airlines will ship remains in cargo if packaged properly, and several businesses in the Anchorage area will pick up remains at Air Cargo and ship ashes back home to you. It takes some planning, but we are happy to help you make this happen.
