Traditional Chinese Medicine has been practiced for over 2000 years, and animal acupuncture has been practiced nearly as long! Dr. Iacobucci is excited to offer acupuncture to pets in remote places, because it allows us to assess your pet and give treatment without relying on western diagnostics that are simply inaccessible. There is a huge amount of evidence that acupuncture is effective for pain management, geriatric wellness, neurologic disease and so much more.

Health Certificates

If you are traveling shortly after we visit your community on site, we can write you a health certificate for travel! Alaska airlines currently requires a certificate for pets in a cargo compartment issued within 10 days of flying. Certificates last 30 days per USDA for ground travel. These can only be issued at in-person visits.

Telemedicine

While visiting you and your pet in person is necessary and exciting, we want you to know that we are still here for you, even when we are far away. Through our pet portal, you can access your pet's medical records, send us emails and messages, and set up video consultations and follow ups. While we cannot offer emergency services, we can offer virtual visits and communication to provide support year round.

Medication Management

Through our online pharmacy and reliable follow up communication, we can make sure you understand the medications your animal needs and be sure you get it shipped to your door when you need it.

Food Animal Medicine

We understand that in rural Alaska, the health of animals providing food - be it eggs, meat, or milk - is extremely important to food security. Dr. Iacobucci is an accredited USDA Type 2 veterinarian and can help with surveillance testing, vaccines, herd health or even data management.

Education/Community Engagement

We know that opportunities to learn about different careers can be a challenge to find in remote areas. If you have kids in your community interested in learning more about veterinary medicine, we can set aside time for learning, or offer some shadowing during our clinic operations. We'd love to inspire more Alaskans to become involved in the veterinary field!
